Who We Are
The International Kenpo Council of Grandmasters was established to preserve the integrity of Kenpo/Kempo Karate and to continue the legitimate lines of rank and heritage.
Founded by Senior Grandmaster S. George Pesare, the council carries forward the lineage of Kenpo in New England and beyond. All Kenpo/Kempo schools are welcome to apply.

Senior Grandmaster Pesare
Senior Grandmaster Pesare was a 10th degree Black Belt and is the undisputed founder of Kempo Karate in New England. The 10th degree Black Belt level is one of the highest achievements in the martial arts community and is at the Professorship level.
SG Pesare began his martial arts career with Karazenpo-Go-Shinjutsu in 1958 under Grandmaster Victor (Sonny) Gascon, one of the Kempo founders in America. He returned to Rhode Island and opened the first Kenpo Karate school in New England in 1962, later establishing his Kaito Gakko in Providence and, in 2010, the International Kenpo Council of Grandmasters.
Ranks held: 10th dan Karazenpo Go Shinjutsu · 5th dan Judo · 4th dan Taekwondo · 4th dan Eskrima · 2nd dan Aikido.
